443. Because it shares the port with regular web traffic, it works on networks that block non-standard ports. - DoT uses a dedicated TLS connection on port
853. It is easier to monitor or filter at the network boundary and to configure at the OS and router level.
Public DNS
Configure DNS over HTTPS and DNS over TLS
Without encrypted DNS, anyone on the network path — a public Wi-Fi operator, ISP, or network attacker — can observe which domains are queried and forge responses. Gcore Public DNS supports two encrypted protocols that prevent this. DNS queries are anonymized and processed under EU jurisdiction, and are not shared with third parties except as required by law.
